LOCAL SCHOOL SCORES A VISIT FROM NETBALL CHAMPIONS

The Alcuin School, a Leeds based independent school, has received a visit from the National Superleague netball team, Leeds Met Carnegie.
On Friday the 31st of March the Alcuin School welcomed players from the Leeds Metropolitan University side for the afternoon to give the girls some tips on how to improve their netball skills and to encourage pupils to get involved in the sport. The team play in the All England Netball Association’s National Superleague, where they compete against other elite teams from across the country.
After a quick coaching session from the professionals, the girls put the skills they had learned into practice with a game.
results in the netball season so far. The school team have won 24 out of 29 league matches and are currently third in the Leeds league. This is a remarkable achievement considering the school’s small size in comparison to the rest of the league.
